Analysis of Molecular Ibinding to Human Serum Aliwmin Using a T-sensor

چکیده

Determining kinetics of molecular binding reactions is important for characterizing biological processes and for predicting behavior of detection strategies that involve binding. We used the T-sensor and a numerical model to determine kinetic parameters (equilibrium binding and rate constants) of a bimolecular binding reaction between the fluorescent probe prodan and human serum albumin ()-ISA). Changes in prodan’s emission spectra when bound to HSA helped to verify the potential for rapid kinetic determinations using the T-sensor. Results demonstrate that it is possible to make sensitive kinetic determinations in solution-phase based solely on binding-dependent changes in the diffusive transport of analyte.
